Lego

As a kid, I played a lot with legos. I will go through chronologically all the sets I had, I liked or wanted. I'll tell you what I loved about each set. I will also share a bit of story from my life.

Lego Duplo

For some reason, my first memories are not with duplo, but I have memories with playing it while having other lego sets too. but

We still have this red bucket. I find it pretty cool. And the pieces are cute.

We also had this granny one with the ironing kit, I completely forgot about it, I just remembered because I talked about legos to my parents and one of them told me we had this. The ironing stall was fun to play with.

Lego

I don't think we had the exact ones, maybe some from duplo, but I remember making ducks and chickens from it. That kinda cute and fun hehe.

I was looking through sets to find the ones we had, and I got nostialgic feeling from these images, and I realized we had the lego paradise pack with the little train like car! It looks so cute and fun! I don't think we had the one with see-saw, but we made one sometimes.

I knew we had swing(s?) but I thought it was may from a belville set, but when I saw the swing on this picture I instantly knew this is where we got it from.

Lego belville

Oooh boy!!! Belville!!! Yipee!! I really really loved these sets!!! I'm kinda sad many people on the internet call them ugly and whatnot. No, no!! They were amazing!! Really pretty and fun! And I did love how girly it was, and the fantasy elements!!

I preferred these over lego friends, because 1 those were kind of boring, compared to these because they showed real life, unlike belville with the fantasy and princess elements. 2 I was "too old" for those when they came out.

We had this princess! I adored her crown, the skirt, the cups the cake!! And the little gem it had on the middle. By the way, the official name of this princess is Princess Vanilla. We called her Queen Tea.

The Garden Fairy! This doll was mine, and I often played like it represented me. It's kinda cool I got the more masc/androgynous character. For some time we didn't have male legos, as I remember, so we used this fairy as a male character. But she also got used as an androgynous character by me often. Wow I never really thought about this, this is so cool!

What's strange that we had to have the paradise set before this one, so we should have had male characters though, but I don't know? Maybe we just still wanted to have a male or androgynous role sometimes. I lost/ didn't use her wings, and the skirts were most often off of the characters too. The hands of these kinds of dolls were very fragile(to the handling of a 3-5 year old) so I lost the lower arms of both of her, and the other princess.

I really loved the mushroom parts and flower ones!!

We had cats irl too, we just really loved cats. This set is just soooo cute! I remember playing a lot with them. I gave personalites to the adult cat(s) and to the kittens.

Ah, the little fairy with tower. This was a "newer" set, so I got it around 2005? It was pretty and cute. I really loved the magical feeling to it. I often characterized the fairy as a mischievous character.

What I really loved about the belville sets, how pretty they were. I REALLY loved the pink sparkly semi-transparent bricks. It was peak aesthetic for me.

We also had a small magazine/ advert newspaper, advertising the other belville sets. I really loved looking at them, they were really pretty. There were a few I wanted. I also got to know other belville characters from Lego's website, and the belville flashgames. But I will talk about those more later. So these are the sets and dolls I really liked

Ice

I think one of my friends had one of these sets. I found it really pretty.

These dolls felt like premium to me lol.

Before I talk about the website, and games I want to tell a small story.

At one time, I've seen this belville set in the store the 'Pop studio' one. I loved the blue color of the doll's dress and that she was a singer. At this time, there were a talent show in the TV in our country which I watched and found awesome. The thought of a popstar was something really cool to me.

So I asked my grandma, to buy it for me. Unfortunaltely, she didn't know what Lego was, and she only got a description from (5-6 yo) me, so she bought me something else.

She couldn't differentiate Lego Bellville from other dolls, altough I remember telling her I would want one with a microphone. Anyway after that when she visited us again she gave me this Polly Pocket doll, telling me she went through the whole town just to find me what I wanted. I didn't tell her this is not what I wanted, but was disappointed, specially that this doll didn't even had a microphone, but a brush. Somehow my grandma thought the paintbrush was the microphone.

It's kind of a funny story, I am very grateful for my grandma to walk through all the shops for me, even if she couldn't find the right toy, what matters is that she tried. I think it's nice I didn't tell her it wasn't the right toy, or if I did, I don't remember. But It's kinda funny I was offended, cause a Polly Pocket doll is also a very cool thing to have! And I did like the doll, how stretchy her outfit and accessories were. It was my only Polly pocket doll, but I actually I'm glad I had one, because if this mistake didn't happen, maybe I wouldn't have had any.

Alright, it's time for me to show and talk about the belville flashgames and the website! I did all I could to find the sources to keep this mempory alive, and so it doesn't become forgotten media. By the way, with this part of my site, my goal is not only to regress, but to archive my childhood memories, and save the media of them.

Here's the website around 2000-2005.

I have vague memories of the site, which is funny. Did my mom let me to the computer when I was 5 and less year old?

The next part is about the belville flash games!

There was one, which wasn't really a game, but a animated short tale.

You can still find it on youtube

The next is a dress up game. I loved the different clothes, altough I felt like some outfits couldn't be completed.

By the way, you can still play this game on flashmuseum.org!

The next game was this one. I loved how the gems shined.

The best game, in my opinion was the Witch's game. It has a fun game play.

AND you can still play this game on flashmuseum.org

Also a fun game, Is the Horse jump one. This kinda reminded me of barbie flash games.

Although it didn't work for me, this game is also onflashmuseum.org. It may not work for you, it did not work for me

This game doesn't give much experience, but for as little I was, It was fun. Things making noises. Yay. XD

You can still play this game on flashmuseum.org. It may not work for you, it did not work for me

There was also a little puzzle game.

This is all I could find! Thank you for reading my long list of the world of Legos in my life as a child.

What's I forgot to add was about Clickits!. I will add it later. If this turns out to be too much text and images on one page, I will put it on more pages.
